At Carlum House we are passionate about skills-based learning. Our pre-vocational curriculum allows our learners to explore their knowledge of reading, writing and numeracy through practical subjects such as hospitality, manufacturing, computing, independence in the home, gardening and animal care.

At a fundamental level, this approach teaches critical problem-solving skills and equips our learners with the practical skills needed to fully participate in an ever-changing modern society.

It also provides our learners with the opportunity to learn through experience, repetition and most importantly build their self-esteem and relationships.
